The Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation is pleased to host an Innovative Lives program on the evening of December 4 with Kathryn D. Sullivan, a former astronaut and the first American woman to walk in space. Sullivan and other astronauts, engineers, and scientists launched, rescued, repaired, and maintained Hubble, the most productive observatory ever built. Kathy’s new book, Handprints on Hubble: An Astronaut’s Story of Invention, will be published in November as part of the Lemelson Center Studies in Invention and Innovation series with MIT Press.
