Details | Please join us for a discussion of African American feminism between Dr. Beverly Guy-Sheftall, a pioneering veteran of the field of African American feminism and Dr. Treva Lindsay, a leading representative of the contemporary generation of feminist scholars. The topic will also be explored creatively by two poet/performers, the dynamic Holly Bass, and Venus Thrash, who, like the guest scholars represent different generations of feminism. All of our guests will explore the often contested dimensions of feminism/womanism from the perspective of African American women. The evening will end with an audience Q&A and book signing.
