Details | Local advocates will engage in a conversation that highlights the importance of play for young children’s development and explores methods to do that in the outdoors. Panelists will share personal experiences and best practices around exploring the DC area together as a family, contextualizing the history of African Americans’ relationship to outdoor spaces and empowering families of color to fully explore and enjoy public lands. This program will be an opportunity for caregivers to get outside and explore with their preschoolers and early-elementary children for the first time, or expand their regular adventures outdoors and gather new ideas together! Boxed lunches will be provided to participants. REGISTRATION OPENS OCTOBER 11, 2019 |
