Details | During this professional development workshop, educators will learn how to engage with different forms of art while constructing historical contexts for specific pieces within the NMAAHC visual arts collection. Through close looking techniques, formal analysis, and inquiry-driven learning, participants will create ties between visual art pieces and historical events. Working alongside facilitators from the museum as well as a local master teacher, educators enrolled in this workshop will engage in hands-on activities and collaborative discussions. These experiences are intended to illustrate certain concepts and act as a model for future classroom activities. |
