This program explores the potential significance of the most recent paleoanthropological findings for human society and culture. Dr. Rick Potts, Director of the Smithsonian's Human Origins Program, will discuss the past decade of discoveries and raise ideas and questions about their societal significance. This presentation will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Dr. Elliot Dorff, Sol & Anne Dorff Distinguished Professor in Philosophy at American Jewish University, Dr. David Haberman, Professor of Religious Studies at Indiana University, and Dr. Michael Tenneson, Professor of Biology at Evangel University. The panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. Connie Bertka from Science and Society Resources.
