Join us for a conversation with invertebrate zoologist Chris Meyer as we discuss how cutting edge environmental DNA (eDNA) techniques allow scientists to learn more than ever before about our planet’s biodiversity. eDNA analysis can reveal what species are present in a habitat using traces of DNA found in water or soil! Chris will discuss how he is using this technology in his research and why he is optimistic eDNA analysis and citizen science are helping us better understand and protect species. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with our expert during this interactive program.
