SIGN UP HAS CLOSED FOR THIS PROGRAM. Join museum experts for a week of ocean explorations that look at how science and art are interconnected in fun and important ways. Daily live video webinars will include demonstrations and conversations with different museum scientists and artists who will explore adaptations of some amazing deep sea animals through puppet making, drawing, dance and more! Each day will also include a self-directed activity that our young explorers can share with friends, family, and even our scientists and other participating explorers. Summer Explorations are recommended for children in grades 3-7, but all are welcome to attend. The week-long online programs and activities are hosted by museum educators and feature Smithsonian science experts. Each week we will explore a different theme in natural science and provide a suite of daily live webinars, activities, and projects. |
