Tune in this month to meet Kate Rodriguez-Clark, a Population Ecologist at the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute. As a Population Ecologist, Kate is like an animal "matchmaker." She manages the populations of each species at the Zoo to make sure there are genetically healthy groupings. In her role, she collaborates with keepers, curators, and population biologists at zoos, aquariums, and wildlife parks across North America to analyze animal records and find the perfect match. |
