Dr. Anindya Kundu describes himself as "a sociologist who loves thinking about how people can succeed despite various challenges." He has a Ph.D. in Sociology of Education from New York University (NYU) and currently serves as a Senior Fellow at the CUNY LMIS (Labor Market Information Service). Previously he taught at NYU, and received a school-wide Outstanding Teaching Award. Kundu also taught high school students storytelling through for a brief time. He examines the social contexts, educational systems, and opportunity structures that create positive change in people's lives. His debut book, The Power of Student Agency, will be released in 2020.
