Produced by the Luang Prabang Film Festival, Mekong 2030 is composed of five short films by filmmakers from the region through which the Mekong River flows. Each film provides a unique national and cultural perspective speculating on what the river’s fate may be a decade from now. The films aim to both entertain audiences and inspire them to actively protect this critical life source. (Dir.: Kulikar Sotho, Anysay Keola, Sai Naw Kham, Anocha Suwichakornpong, Pham Ngoc Lan, Cambodia/Laos/Myanmar/Thailand/Vietnam, 2020, 94 min., Khmer, Lao, Akha, Thai, and Vietnamese with English subtitles)
