The exploration of natural history doesn't have to just happen at the museum - it can happen in your home too! Join museum educators as they walk your family through science skill-building activities and ways to explore the natural world and collections. During this program, museum educators Gale Robertson and Katie Derloshon will explore how you and your family can make and record observations, just like scientists and naturalists do! Come join us as we take a look at nature in our neighborhoods and introduce different ways to share what we have observed with each other and others in our community. Families will also learn how to take part in City Nature Challenge, an upcoming global citizen science event to help scientists collect valuable data on biodiversity in urban regions around the planet. Please have the following supplies ready for the program: - Pencil
- A few pieces of blank paper (3-4)
- Stapler or tape (to bind the paper together)
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils (optional)
How to Join: The program will be presented on Zoom video. Click this link to join: zoom.us…Registration/Signup: Registration is optional; you do not need to register to participate.
