Details | Join 2021 National Design Award winner Doris Sung (Climate Action Award for InVert™ Self-Shading Window) and educators from Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum to learn how to use the museum’s Learning Lab collections, digital resources, and virtual field trips to support teaching and learning about climate change across disciplines. In this interactive session, we’ll share resources that can be used to center climate change and take action within art, history, social studies, and STEM curricula. We’ll discuss the design process as an adaptable support tool to help students create, evaluate, and revise all types of projects and learning outputs. Finally, Sung will guide participants through a simple, hands-on activity borrowed from her design process that can be adapted to suit learners of all ages and subjects. |
