Pinchback became the first African American elected to serve as a state governor. In a discussion led by weekend host of NPR’s All Things Considered Michel Martin, African American lieutenant governors will explore the issues they face holding statewide offices not widely held since Reconstruction. Panelists will include Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton of Illinois and Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford of Maryland. |
