Details | Join us for our last Take Time Thursday with creative and educator, Sage Morgan-Hubbard, as she shares with us how to make self-care boxes. In these times of uncertainty, it is important that we take proper care of ourselves, so this workshop is all about you and your needs. Grab a plain or decorative box and some things that make you happy. Think about things that cater to your well-being. If you need ideas, we’ll also make suggestions about items to add. Consider making one for a friend or family member as a gift as we approach the season of giving. Sage Morgan-Hubbard is the Assistant Director of the Brown Center for Students of Color at Brown University. She earned her B.A. in Performance Studies: Socially Conscious Art of the Everyday and Ethnic Studies from Brown University and her M.A. and PhD coursework and Gender Studies Certificate in Performance Studies from Northwestern University. She is a leader in museum education, public programming, community arts, organizing, and higher education creative partnerships and collaborations. She is a founder of WORD! Performance Poets and Activists and one of the original members of Sol y Soul, Spoken Resistance, and the DC youth poetry slam team. #Take Time Thursdays with the Anacostia Community Museum gives participants a chance to take time for wellness, health, and creativity with artists, thought leaders, performers, wellness practitioners and others. Take a 30-minute break with us from 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. every other Thursday and boost your mind, body, and spirit. LAST TAKE TIME THURSDAY |
