FUTURES Cypher is a performance art exchange challenging big thinkers and creators to collaboratively reimagine our shared futures. About this event Some say 2020 was a “tale of two pandemics'', as multiple cities in the US officially declared both COVID-19 and racism as a public health crisis. People all over the country navigated a global pandemic that widened the equity gap and severely impacted our nation’s most vulnerable communities. The year was a reminder of the existing inequities that must be reconciled to ensure that all communities are protected and prioritized. How do we continue to rebound from the pandemic while offering room for reflection and healing to build an equitable future that we all dream? Join us for FUTURES Cypher as we bring together a group of big thinkers and creators to help us answer this question. Scientists, entertainers, scholars, and other innovative minds will be prompted to unveil their ideal futures alongside the talents of top performing artists for a spontaneous, unexpected, and magical performance art exchange. |
