In Our Hands: Chinese Painting Conservators in US Museums is a new documentary produced by the National Museum of Asian Art that profiles two generations of Chinese painting conservators working in American museums. Join the film’s director, Eros Zhao, along with NMAA conservators Xiangmei Gu, Andrew Hare, and Grace Jan for a discussion of the film and of the world of Chinese painting conservation. This program is part of Lunar New Year DC, organized by the Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The film streams from January 28 to February 13 here: watch.eventive.org/inourhands. |
