This summer, the Smithsonian Folklife Festival returns to the National Mall! Join us in Washington, D.C., June 22–27 and June 30–July 4. The Festival grounds are open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with evening concerts beginning at 6:30 p.m. All events are free and open to the public. Our featured programs this year are the United Arab Emirates and Earth Optimism × Folklife, along with a series of special evening concerts. As always, you can expect music and dance performances, craft workshops, kitchen demonstrations, hands-on family activities, and much more—all free and open to the public. The Smithsonian Folklife Festival is produced by the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage and is co-sponsored by the National Park Service.
