Details | This summer, the Smithsonian Folklife Festival returns to the National Mall! Join us in Washington, D.C., June 22–26 and June 30–July 4. The Festival grounds are open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with evening concerts beginning at 6:30 p.m. All events are free and open to the public. Our featured programs this year are the United Arab Emirates and Earth Optimism × Folklife, along with a series of special evening concerts. As always, you can expect music and dance performances, craft workshops, kitchen demonstrations, hands-on family activities, and much more—all free and open to the public. Stay tuned as the programs and schedule develop. The Smithsonian Folklife Festival is produced by the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage and is co-sponsored by the National Park Service. |
