About this Program: Bisa Butler is an American fiber artist known for her quilted portraits inspired by historical photographs. I Go To Prepare A Place For You is based upon a portrait of underground railroad conductor and abolitionist Harriet Tubman. Learn what the artwork reveals about Tubman’s complexity as a person, including her African ancestry, bravery, and legacy as an agent of change. |
