Join curator of African American Women’s History Angela Tate and Alicia Mazzara of Fresh Pear Jewelry as we explore Avis Collins Robinson’s quilt, Sharecropper’s Masterpiece. In this workshop, you will learn how to create your own polymer clay trinket dish inspired by Robinson piece. Learn about Sharecropper’s Masterpiece while forming your own trinket dish using colors and patterns inspired by the quilt's design. Your ticket includes the cost of all materials needed for the activity, instructions, and postage. Materials kits will be shipped to participants in advance of the program. Participants must register by October 12, 2022, to ensure materials arrive on time. Materials kit includes: Polymer clay Acrylic roller Craft knife Depth guides Tissue blade Wet/dry sandpaper Super glue Bowl mold Participants will need to provide parchment paper, a cookie sheet, and a home oven to finish their dish.
