Amit Dutta, subject of a 2021 online NMAA retrospective and the sound designer for the current exhibition A Splendid Land: Paintings from Royal Udaipur, created this tribute to photographer Jyoti Bhatt by designing an animated collage of Bhatt’s images. According to Dutta, the film “attempts to gather these impressions and bind them into little booklets of poetry, sewn together with words and spaces that were responses to the images presented, sometimes culled from memory, sometimes simple observation, or a moment’s pause to wonder.” (Dir.: Amit Dutta, India, 2022, 26 min.)
