| Description | Student Advising Mentors (SAMs) are student leaders who work in the Academic Advising Center (AAC). Each SAM receives ongoing training that allows them to serve you in the following areas: - Explore majors/minors at UW Tacoma
- Understand deadlines
- UW technologies (DARS, MyPlan, and Registration)
- Services that the AAC provides
- Referrals to campus resources
- General student support
