Description | The Effect of Stress in UW Tacoma Students College students have stress levels similar to it greater than those of adults. A majority of college students identify school as a significant source of stress. Thus, the negative effects of stress related to college life on academic performance and physical/mental health have been well established. However, most studies investigating the effects of stress have focused on traditional college students. Based on the survey data from UW Tacoma students, Dr. Lee will talk about the differences in the type of stressors and the effect of stressful experiences between traditional and non-traditional college students, especially considering a unique set of stressful experiences among ethnic minority and international students. |
