What Is It: The Gilman is a merit-based scholarship for Pell grant recipients who plan to study or intern abroad. Students must receive credit for the study or internship abroad and must spend at least 28 days in one country. The Gilman prefers non-traditional study and internship destinations and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. Eligibility Applicants must be: • U.S. citizens, • Undergraduate students, • Pell grant recipients who plan to study or intern abroad. Deadline The next deadline is October 2, 2018 (for winter or spring 2019 study abroad).
