The Governor’s Leadership Academy is a paid, 10 week summer internship, with start dates either June 3 or June 17. Interns will work 28 hours a week (4 days, 7 hours) at $15/hour. Internships are based in Olympia (except Washington DC Office). The program is designed for current undergraduate students (except the Office of General Counsel position, in which case a law student is preferred); students graduating in Spring 2019 are not eligible. This recruitment also details the Ruth Woo Fellowship, a mentorship program operated in partnership with the Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs, that will be available to one of this summer’s Leadership Academy selections.To apply, students should submit a letter of interest, resume, and short writing sample describing how they will bring a unique, diverse voice to the program and what they hope to gain from the experience.
