Description | This interactive workshop with Research Scientists from the UW Center for Evaluation & Research for STEM Equity (CERSE) explores the power and possibility of transformative research methods, looking at how research methods themselves can either serve to reinforce the status quo, or shift it towards social equity and justice. While the workshop will focus specifically on how methodological approaches can advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM fields, participants from all disciplines will leave the workshop with an increased awareness of how to do their research in ways that reflect their social justice values, and with concrete methodological ideas to run with. Presenters: Dr. Emily Affolter, Senior Research Scientist and Equity Consultant and Dr. Emily Knaphus-Soran, Senior Research Scientist |
