Apply here! The event will take place on the UW Seattle campus from June 17-22, 2019. The Alene Moris National Education for Women’s (NEW) Leadership program offers college students skills to participate effectively in politics and public policy and the network and training to become leaders within the public and private sectors. The goal of NEW Leadership is for women and men to work together to increase the number of women leaders and address the underrepresentation of women in policymaking. An intensive six-day program, the Alene Moris NEW Leadership Institute offers training and opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to connect with prominent women leaders in Washington State to develop a strong and supportive network. There is a $150.00 administrative fee for students accepted for admission. Students are encouraged to seek funding through their program and/or department within their institution. A limited number of scholarships through the Women’s Center are available. To apply for a scholarship or housing, please submit the supplemental the Scholarship and Housing Application* along with the general application. Those accepted to the program will receive notification of their scholarship or housing award. |
