Bill Schwarz is the Pro Bono Coordinator for the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) in Tacoma, Washington. He provides mentorship and training to assist volunteer attorneys in representing individuals held in immigration detention. In addition, as a DOJ accredited representative, he represents clients in removal defense matters including asylum, cancellation of removal, and other forms of statutory relief. Bill speaks both English and Spanish.
Seungjae “SJ” Lee is a federal prosecutor in Seattle, WA, the city where his family settled when he immigrated to the States from South Korea in 2000. Before becoming a federal prosecutor, SJ was a public defender in King County, where he defended the mentally ill in civil commitment proceedings, troubled youths in juvenile court, and those accused of felony and misdemeanor crimes. SJ also worked for the ACLU of WA and the Urban Justice Center as a law student. He is a board member for the Korean American Bar Association of Washington and an active participant of the Joint Asian Judicial Evaluation Committee. |
