Description | For many people, it’s hard to know what to say or how to interact in social situations. Prolonged isolation during the age of social distancing has increased anxiety for many when it comes to interacting with others. Even those who felt mostly okay in social situations might second guess how they interact socially. Many of us have simply forgotten how to be friends and interact with one another. Build Your Social Confidence is a group therapy option at PAWS that intends to connect students interested in practicing social skills and easing potential anxiety associated with socializing with others. This might include skills like initiating conversations, practicing small talk, speaking up for oneself, and challenging a tendency toward solitary activities. Call PAWS at 253-692-4750 or email uwtpaws@uw.edu by April 3rd to save your spot for this group. |
