Please join Legal Pathways in welcoming members of Tacoma’s Community's Police Advisory Committee (CPAC) in discussing their work, the role of the committee, and issues around policing in Tacoma. The Community's Police Advisory Committee (CPAC) is a policy-focused board that helps to ensure transparency and accountability in the way that the City of Tacoma Police Department operates. We will be joined by: Allen McKenzie: Allen has been a member of CPAC since January 2022, and currently serves as the committee's chair. He is a civil litigation attorney with some experience handling civil rights cases. He lives on the Eastside. Andrew Nguyen: Andrew is a new member of CPAC, serving on the outreach subcommittee. He lives in the North End of Tacoma. He works as a Victims' Rights Advocate and provides supportive services to those affected by crime. Stephen Hagberg: Stephen has been a CPAC Committee member since 2017. He is the chair of the Policy Subcommittee and served as the Chair of CPAC from 2020-2022. He lives on the Eastside of Tacoma. |
