		<title type="text">Cochrane Systematic Review Standard Author Training</title>
		<content type="html">Jul 6&amp;ndash;9, 2026 &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;We are excited to announce that we will be offering our Cochrane Systematic Review Standard Author Training&amp;#160;course in Talloires, France,&amp;#160;this July!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This course is a one-of-a-kind experience to learn how to conduct systematic reviews, connect with an international network of researchers and clinicians, and spend a week in the French Alps at Tufts European Center. The four-day program,&amp;#160;&lt;strong&gt;July 6&amp;#8211;9&lt;/strong&gt;, will consist of 6&amp;#8211;8 hours a day of lectures, integrated learning, and group activities culminating in a presentation that can be submitted to Cochrane as a full review proposal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Learning outcomes:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Over the program, participants will learn:&lt;ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;Overview of The Cochrane Collaboration	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Defining the PICO and review question	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Systematic literature search and study selection	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Critical appraisal and risk of bias	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Data extraction, analysis, and interpretation	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;GRADE evidence and findings review	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;RevMan Software, Covidence, Rayyan and the use of AI in systematic reviews	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Understand the application of these methods to their own research or professional practice across various sectors.	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Connect with peers and experts&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Audience:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This training is designed for students and emerging&amp;#160;researchers seeking to learn how to conduct systematic reviews as well as advanced faculty looking to refresh their skills. Systematic review authors, guideline developers, health and social care professionals, academics, researchers, postgraduate students, and policy and decision-makers are welcome! This program is a good fit for anyone interested in evidence synthesis methods.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pre-requisites:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No specific prior coursework or experience is&amp;#160;required, but a basic background in research methods is strongly encouraged. We ask that you come with:&lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt;A computer, laptop, phone, and/or tablet to access our Canvas site. Bringing a laptop to the training is highly encouraged.	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;A desire to expand your research skills and learn about the Cochrane methodology!&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Event Accommodation&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We have two affiliated accommodation options available for attendees, but space is limited. We have limited apartment-style rooms available in nearby Annecy for &amp;#8364;100/night from July 5&amp;#8211;9. These rooms are recommended for students. There is also limited availability in a hotel block at&amp;#160;the nearby Hotel Du Lac for &amp;#8364;170/night. Rooms can be booked through our registration page or directly with local hotels and hostels in Annecy or Talloires, France.&amp;#160;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is a shuttle from Annecy to Talloires that takes about 30 minutes and costs &amp;#8364;2-4 per way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are numerous hotels, bed-and-breakfasts, and other accommodation providers nearby. We are happy to provide lists of alternative options if you are interested.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Travel&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The&amp;#160;European Center&amp;#160;is approximately a one hour&amp;#160;drive from the Geneva airport. During these days, Jains impose some restraints on their daily activities by fasting, meditation and prayer. The last day of Paryusana is the most solemn occasion of forgiveness and the examination of one&amp;#39;s own thoughts and feelings.
