Calling all plant-focused grad students and postdocs! Later this month, join peers and friends to learn about California’s local flora and the historical uses of these plants by indigenous communities. This seminar is open to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars of all backgrounds, and will have a special emphasis on sharing and celebrating local Native culture and scientific knowledge. In addition to discussing the ecological and cultural significance of local plants, the event also serves as a relaxing activity to promote wellness and connection to the local Davis ecosystem.
The event will be held in the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden teaching nursery from 12:00-2:00 on Thursday, March 23, and is presented by the UC Davis chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science. Join us!
