New employees will receive invitations to three onboarding experiences over three months. These experiences get at the core of what it means to be a Vandal and have been created by an onboarding team representing staff from across campus. Fume Hoods and Lab Ventilation

This course is specifically designed for anyone working in a lab, particularly those utilizing a fume hood or other ventilation devices. It aims to inform lab users on the proper use and limitations of fume hoods, as well as other ventilation devices such as biosafety cabinets, canopy hoods, etc. Upon completing the course, attendees will be able to identify the different types of ventilation devices and how to operate them in such a way as to keep themselves and others safe.

This course is specifically designed for anyone working in a lab, particularly those utilizing a fume hood or other ventilation devices. It aims to inform lab users on the proper use and limitations of fume hoods, as well as other ventilation devices such as biosafety cabinets, canopy hoods, etc. Upon completing the course, attendees will be able to identify the different types of ventilation devices and how to operate them in such a way as to keep themselves and others safe.

When Robin's rule-breaking involves the supposed kidnapping of the Sherriff of Nottingham's son, Maverick, the Sheriff vows to impose a heavy tax on all of Nottingham until he is returned. When Robin doesn't concede, the Sheriff and his guards enter the forest, raring for a fight, but Robin and her merry-makers give them something very different in return.

Employees are invited to attend an upcoming Ergonomics in Laboratories presentation focused on promoting ergonomics, safety and accident prevention in the laboratories. This voluntary session will cover the fundamentals of ergonomics, including proper computer workstation setup, basic ergonomic principles and practical stretching techniques to help reduce strain and prevent injury. The presentation will also address microscope ergonomics, with guidance on maintaining proper posture during detailed lab work. Participants will gain useful, easy-to-apply strategies to support their well-being throughout the workday.
