Platform Revision Proposal Window

Ongoing through Thursday, April 30, 2026

Starting April 1, the annual window opens for school boards to submit revision proposals for WSSDA’s platform. The window will close on April 30, 2026.

Over the summer, WSSDA’s Legislative and Resolutions committees will review submissions, which will ultimately be advanced to the annual WSSDA General Assembly.

At the assembly, every school board in the state is eligible to have a delegate cast a vote on each proposal.

We'll explore the board’s role in district budgeting. We look at the various components, financial reports, values-based budgeting, fiscal responsibility, and budget approval.

Student Representatives Network Meeting

All active student board representatives from across the state are welcome to join the Student Representatives Network (SRN). This group meets monthly during the school year (September-May) to connect student board representatives to issues and topics regarding K-12 education in Washington state. General Assembly

Saturday, September 19, 2026

The 2026 General Assembly will be a virtual event. Delegates will receive login credentials to view and participate. Non-delegates can only observe the broadcast.

At 8 a.m., there will be a presentation that explains how the assembly plays a key role in WSSDA’s year-round advocacy efforts and what happens with the results of the assembly voting.

At 9 a.m., official business will begin and continue until all business is complete.
