ANEW Drop-in Sessions

ANEW is the oldest, continuously running pre-apprenticeship program in the nation. ANEW has partnerships with over 17 apprenticeship programs in the Puget Sound region, dedicated to improve access and advancement to non-traditional career pathways of all people, regardless of age, national origin, race, ethnicity, gender, background, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.

ANEW will have a representative at WorkSource Pierce every Wednesday from 11am - 1pm to discuss ANEW's many programs. Drop by and find out how ANEW can work for you!

Young Adult Connect

Ready to kick start your career?! Come learn about WIOA services that are specifically designed for young adults, 16-24 who are not currently connected to school.

In this session we provide an over of the WIOA Young Adult Program with Career TEAM, and discuss what it is like to work with a dedicated Career Advisor who provides facilitation and navigates arrangements for academic, career or personal counseling, financial aid, child care, housing, and other financial assistance that can be critical to your success.

STATEWIDE: ESD Self‐Employment Assistance Program (SEAP) Orientation (Virtual)

The Self‐Employment Assistance Program (SEAP) may be a great opportunity if you want to start a business!

Once approved, SEAP is a unique program that enables you to:
· Receive entrepreneurial counseling and business coaching through a pre‐approved training provider
· Continue to collect Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits while developing your business plans
· Work on creating your business and waives the weekly work‐search requirement

You are invited to attend a virtual workshop to explore:

Understand the employer’s point of view is crucial in any job search. In this workshop, you'll learn how employers evaluate Applications, Resumes and Cover Letters and how to be better prepared to meet an employer’s expectations. Additionally, we will cover how to create a General Application Guide that’s helpful when completing paper and online applications as well as learning which resume and cover letter formats best showcase your strengths to stand out in a competitive job market.
