This live, virtual training is an approved Maryland Board of Nursing program and is directed to Registered Nurses who are interested in obtaining their Forensic Nurse Examiner certification. Registration is required and attendees must attend ALL 6 days of the training for completion. Class dates: February 23 and March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

Requirements:

• $325 fee 
• Access to high-speed internet with a microphone and computer camera
• Access to attend the training in a private area due to the sensitive subject matter and photos used during the case review presentations)

• FNE-A Didactic training that meets MBON's required minimum 40-hour FNE-A curriculum objectives
• 46.75 Nursing Continuing Education hours

• Opportunities available to obtain MOBN's required 40 hours of FNE-A clinical objectives 
• Meet with the Anne Arundel County Police, State's Attorney's Office, Patient Advocacy, and Crime Lab
• Skills training for forensic photography
• Shadow an FNE to observe medical forensic evidentiary examinations (for UMMS employees ONLY)
• Skills training for speculum exams with Forensic Training Assistants (live models) and mannequin
