9/30/26 - corrected the 11/20/26 training date. The SBCTC BEdA Professional Development Team is pleased to continue offering the High School+ (HS+) Community of Practice (CoP) as one way to address faculty professional development regarding this innovative program that honors our students' experiences and accelerates them through earning a credential that holds meaning for them.
This CoP is facilitated by a seasoned HS+ faculty member and is envisioned as a collective of HS+ professionals who actively engage with one another; those who register should plan to actively participate in the sharing of knowledge, best practices, problem solving, and exploring ideas in the realm of HS+. CoP participants will benefit from a Canvas resource and engagement hub for asynchronous participation outside of the quarterly CoP meetings.
The BEdA PD Team and faculty facilitator have arranged timing and topics based on feedback from the initial HS+ CoP Interest Survey. For the 2026-27 year, the CoP sessions scheduled on select Fridays from 9-11:00AM. The overarching theme of the CoP is focused on student-centeredness and the ideal flow for a student and interrogating barriers preventing success.
If interested, please be sure to register for the HS+ CoP via the link below. Once you register, please be sure to hold the session times on your own calendar (from 9-11 am on these dates: 10/23/26, 11/20/26, 2/5/27, 3/12/27, 4/16/27, 5/7/27), as relevant agenda and Zoom link will be emailed to registrants closer to the CoP session.
This training is open to all regardless of protected class, and it is most appropriate for HS+ faculty serving adult learners in the BEdA provider system.
