'Creativity - Diversity' Textiles Exhibition

Community events This eclectic exhibition of beautifully hand-crafted artworks is on display in the Dunn Wing Art Gallery at Redlands Coast Museum, from 30 April to 6 June 2025. Fifteen members of the Queensland Branch of ATASDA (Australian Textile Art and Surface Design Association) have used a wide variety of mediums, techniques and styles to interpret the theme, and weave their personal narratives into their works. Embroidery, collage, upcycling, felting, patchwork, mixed media, surface design, stitching, lettering, stencilling, fabric manipulation and much more create a vibrant and cohesive display, showing that textile art has now become an exciting artform in its own right, and no longer merely serves a functional purpose as in the past. You will be intrigued and inspired by this stimulating, thought-provoking exhibition. Featured artists, as ATASDA members and as individual artists, have exhibited locally across Australia and internationally. https://www.redlandmuseum.org.au/exhibitions_posts/creativity-diversity/.
