Drop-In Art Activity: Co-Create an Evolving Garden
Step into our workshop space and help grow an ever-changing, imagined garden inspired by the exhibitions Mountain No Mountain and Drawing Animal.
This free, drop-in activity invites visitors of all ages to become co-designers of a shared creative landscape.
Using art materials provided, create an element on paper - something abstract, playful, or inspired by what you have seen, then add it to the evolving garden wall. There’s no need to finish or perfect; contribute a small piece or different pieces and place wherever you think best in this garden.
With every addition, the garden transforms, it is shaped by every visitor who takes part.
Come by, get creative and leave your mark on a collective work that grows throughout the program.

Over 50s Fitness Classes
Community events
These classes are designed for all levels of fitness with lots of options offered. You go at your own pace and ability; there is no floor work and no pressure. The ages range from 50 to 80 and beyond so you are in good company. It includes cardio, resistance work (all equipment supplied), stretching and relaxation in a friendly and safe environment. After each class, there is an opportunity to socialize and get to know one another, by having a cuppa in a nearby café plus there are fun monthly social events if you wish to join in. Prices are $16/class and a one-off Intro Deal of $60 for 5 classes with further discount class passes offered. You only pay when you attend. Hidden throughout the Museum are 8 handcrafted Digger Doors – wooden plaques featuring diggers, trucks and construction machinery with interactive moving compartments to explore.
Each one has a different native Australian animal wearing a construction hard hat. Search high and low through the Museum to find them all and discover which animals have joined the construction crew. Can you track down all 8 Digger Doors and uncover every hidden animal?

Old SchoolHouse Gallery invites you to a spectacular explosion of colour and creativity for our August Exhibition: A Collective Fusion - Exploring the Abstract. You will find an exciting collection of artworks, ceramics, photography and leadlight lamps.
In conjunction with her own collection of beautiful acrylic floral artworks, gallery member Lenore Robbins has invited seven photographer friends from iPhotographMagic to join her: Cheryl Nancarrow, Noeleen Berg, Julie Geldard, Ann Ingham, Judi Neumann, Ian Brewster and Maureen Daly.
Sue Moyle, Lenore’s friend and brother’s partner, returns with her highly colourful functional and ornamental ceramics. Sue’s work was very popular when she displayed in 2025.
Also participating for his first time at the Gallery is Mike Duggan, with his stunning ornamental leadlight tower lamps that have captured Australiana wildlife and flora beautifully and delicately.

These classes are designed for all levels of fitness with lots of options offered. You go at your own pace and ability; there is no floor work and no pressure. The ages range from 50 to 80 and beyond so you are in good company. It includes cardio, resistance work (all equipment supplied), stretching and relaxation in a friendly and safe environment. After each class, there is an opportunity to socialize and get to know one another, by having a cuppa in a nearby café plus there are fun monthly social events if you wish to join in. Old SchoolHouse Gallery invites you to a spectacular explosion of colour and creativity for our August Exhibition: A Collective Fusion - Exploring the Abstract. You will find an exciting collection of artworks, ceramics, photography and leadlight lamps.
In conjunction with her own collection of beautiful acrylic floral artworks, gallery member Lenore Robbins has invited seven photographer friends from iPhotographMagic to join her: Cheryl Nancarrow, Noeleen Berg, Julie Geldard, Ann Ingham, Judi Neumann, Ian Brewster and Maureen Daly.
Sue Moyle, Lenore’s friend and brother’s partner, returns with her highly colourful functional and ornamental ceramics. Sue’s work was very popular when she displayed in 2025.
Also participating for his first time at the Gallery is Mike Duggan, with his stunning ornamental leadlight tower lamps that have captured Australiana wildlife and flora beautifully and delicately.

Hidden throughout the Museum are 8 handcrafted Digger Doors – wooden plaques featuring diggers, trucks and construction machinery with interactive moving compartments to explore.
Each one has a different native Australian animal wearing a construction hard hat. Search high and low through the Museum to find them all and discover which animals have joined the construction crew. Can you track down all 8 Digger Doors and uncover every hidden animal?

These classes are designed for all levels of fitness with lots of options offered. You go at your own pace and ability; there is no floor work and no pressure. The ages range from 50 to 80 and beyond so you are in good company. It includes cardio, resistance work (all equipment supplied), stretching and relaxation in a friendly and safe environment. After each class, there is an opportunity to socialize and get to know one another, by having a cuppa in a nearby café plus there are fun monthly social events if you wish to join in. Prices are $16/class and a one-off Intro Deal of $60 for 5 classes with further discount class passes offered. You only pay when you attend. The Summit is designed for students in Grade 7 to Grade 12. Attendees can expect to participate in a variety of engaging activities, including keynote presentations, panel discussions and interactive group workshops focused on essential life skills such as public speaking, entrepreneurship, networking, financial literacy, ideation, collaboration and teamwork.
Delivered by the Australian School of Entrepreneurship and supported by Redland City Council, fully funded tickets are available for Redlands schools, capped at 25 students per school.

Hidden throughout the Museum are 8 handcrafted Digger Doors – wooden plaques featuring diggers, trucks and construction machinery with interactive moving compartments to explore.

Russell Island’s vibrant arts community is set to come alive with colour, creativity, and culture as the Metamorphosis – A Creative Evolution Art Exhibition & Competition opens on 5 September 2026.
Presented by RICArts Arthouse & Gallery (Russell Island Community Arts), this unique event will showcase the work of talented local and visiting artists, each exploring the theme of transformation through diverse mediums and styles. From bold contemporary pieces to delicate traditional works, Metamorphosis invites audiences to experience the beauty of change, growth, and new perspectives.

Featuring beautiful garments, accessories, and treasured keepsakes, this charming display showcases how babies and toddlers were cared for, dressed, and celebrated across generations.
A highlight of the exhibition is a beautifully restored baby pram from the Museum’s collection, carefully brought back to life by our dedicated volunteers.

The construction crew has been busy around the Museum!
Hidden throughout the Museum are 8 handcrafted Digger Doors – wooden plaques featuring diggers, trucks and construction machinery with interactive moving compartments to explore.
Each one has a different native Australian animal wearing a construction hard hat. Search high and low through the Museum to find them all and discover which animals have joined the construction crew. Can you track down all 8 Digger Doors and uncover every hidden animal?
General admission applies for entry to the Museum
