Lila Kennedy has a lot on her plate. A recently broken marriage, two wayward daughters, a house that is falling apart, and an elderly stepfather who seems to have quietly moved in. Not to mention a once promising writing career that is now in freefall. Art Exhibition - 'Winter in Australia'
Community events
The talented members of our wonderful Gallery have put their creative juices to work to present you with a special exhibition in July titled ‘Winter in Australia’.
How is Australia unique in winter? How are we different to other parts of the world as far as winter goes? How are we different even state by state? – e.g. living here in Queensland compared to living in Tasmania?
Within Queensland from the tropical north with its ‘shivering’ 20+ degrees we can travel down to Warwick with their -1-degree frosty mornings and on to Applethorpe or Stanthorpe with their sometimes-snowy mornings!
What an amazing and diverse state and country we live in! Such contrasts!
The exhibition runs from the 2nd July to 2nd August.
The Gallery is open Thursdays to Sundays and public holidays, 9.30am – 4.30pm.
The official Opening Night is July 4th.
Everyone is welcome to come and meet the artists and enjoy drinks and nibbles on the verandahs.

Future-Proofing Supply Chains: Circular Strategies for a Volatile World
Community events
Global supply chains are under pressure from multiple directions — geopolitical disruption, resource scarcity, climate events and tightening regulatory frameworks. For organisations that have built their operations around linear, cost-optimised models, the cracks are becoming harder to ignore. Resilience is no longer a risk management footnote; it is a strategic imperative.
This webinar examines how circular strategies can serve as a practical foundation for supply chain agility — reducing exposure to material volatility, strengthening supplier relationships and creating the flexibility needed to adapt as conditions continue to shift. Where linear models concentrate risk, circular approaches distribute it: through material recovery, closed-loop procurement, product longevity and design for disassembly.
Our speakers will draw on real-world experience navigating supply chain transition in fast-moving environments — exploring how organisations are building durability into their operations without sacrificing…

Lights out, let's dance! For one hour most Wednesdays, we turn out the lights & crank up the tunes to shake out the stresses of the week, exercise at our own pace, and get lost in the music. Held in over 75 locations around the world, No Lights No Lycra Redlands Coast is part of a global movement of people who dance for the sheer joy of dancing, with the music loud and the lights out! Join us 6-7pm at the Lions Community Hall, 122 Shore St North, Cleveland. $10 cash at the door or online booking at https://www.trybooking.com/BRPXF. Every week except the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
