DV-aware is an interactive workshop where you will learn how to recognise and respond to domestic and family violence and what you can to do to help make a difference. By the end of the workshop, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to: describe the different forms of abuse that constitute domestic and family violence , know how to identify the different signs and forms of abuse , explain the linkages between power and control and domestic and family violence , describe what you can do if you know someone who is experiencing domestic and family violence. DV-alert is led by experienced trainers dedicated to reducing violence against women and their children. The DV-aware Workshop provides a safe space to learn, connect and be empowered to recognise and respond confidently to those in crisis.

Old ShoolHouse Gallery celebrates the Redlands this month in “The Bay and Beyond” an exhibition of paintings by Caroline Ness and Christine Earthrowl and woodturning creations by guest artists David Boxer and Stephen Schuhmacher.
Caroline says “As my husband is a keen sailor, I am able to see and photograph Moreton Bay, it’s islands, beacons and birds from our boat and use these scenes to bring the beauty of the bay and surrounds to my watercolours.”
After retiring David saw woodworking as not only a great relaxation activity you can do by yourself but it satisfied his passion to create something with his hands that shows off the natural beauty of the timber itself.
Stephen also took up woodworking especially wood-turning on retirement. He has had a lot of fun turning old logs and bits of trees into works of art and useful wooden objects.
Watercolour is Christine’s passion along with the beauty of nature. She loves clouds and skies and the colours and patterns they create on our waters with their reflect…

These classes are designed for all levels of fitness with lots of options offered. You go at your own pace and ability; there is no floor work and no pressure. The ages range from 50 to 80 and beyond so you are in good company. It includes cardio, resistance work (all equipment supplied), stretching and relaxation in a friendly and safe environment. After each class, there is an opportunity to socialize and get to know one another, by having a cuppa in a nearby café plus there are fun monthly social events if you wish to join in. Prices are $16/class and a one-off Intro Deal of $60 for 5 classes with further discount class passes offered. You only pay when you attend. Our Regular Messy Play sessions are all about hands-on fun and sensory exploration using taste-safe, food-based materials.
We create a welcoming space for all ages, with a dedicated baby zone for 6–18 months, a toddler zone for busy little movers, and during school holidays we also welcome over 5s to join in the fun.
These sessions encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence through play — all in a relaxed, family-friendly environment. Sibling rates and under 20 months are discounted. Play passes are available - 10 play sessions for purchase at a low rate.

Old ShoolHouse Gallery celebrates the Redlands this month in “The Bay and Beyond” an exhibition of paintings by Caroline Ness and Christine Earthrowl and woodturning creations by guest artists David Boxer and Stephen Schuhmacher.
Caroline says “As my husband is a keen sailor, I am able to see and photograph Moreton Bay, it’s islands, beacons and birds from our boat and use these scenes to bring the beauty of the bay and surrounds to my watercolours.”
After retiring David saw woodworking as not only a great relaxation activity you can do by yourself but it satisfied his passion to create something with his hands that shows off the natural beauty of the timber itself.
Stephen also took up woodworking especially wood-turning on retirement. He has had a lot of fun turning old logs and bits of trees into works of art and useful wooden objects.
Watercolour is Christine’s passion along with the beauty of nature. She loves clouds and skies and the colours and patterns they create on our waters with their reflect…

Old ShoolHouse Gallery celebrates the Redlands this month in “The Bay and Beyond” an exhibition of paintings by Caroline Ness and Christine Earthrowl and woodturning creations by guest artists David Boxer and Stephen Schuhmacher.
Caroline says “As my husband is a keen sailor, I am able to see and photograph Moreton Bay, it’s islands, beacons and birds from our boat and use these scenes to bring the beauty of the bay and surrounds to my watercolours.”
After retiring David saw woodworking as not only a great relaxation activity you can do by yourself but it satisfied his passion to create something with his hands that shows off the natural beauty of the timber itself.
Stephen also took up woodworking especially wood-turning on retirement. He has had a lot of fun turning old logs and bits of trees into works of art and useful wooden objects.
Watercolour is Christine’s passion along with the beauty of nature. She loves clouds and skies and the colours and patterns they create on our waters with their reflect…

Not just any Tablecloths but special ones from 1888,1916 and early to late 1900s.
These are examples of beautiful embroidery, Battenberg work and crochet work with fascinating and moving stories regarding their creation.

Step back in time and experience the craft of blacksmithing in the Museum’s historic Blacksmith Shed. In the tradition of why the Museum Blacksmith Shed was set up over fifty years ago, the Redlands Coast Museum blacksmith team are offering this unique experience to learn about this heritage trade.
Create a twisted bottle opener while learning techniques including punching, drawing out, swaging and twisting. Facilitated by Mark Wyrebiak will guide participants in forging techniques to complete a practical project.

Old ShoolHouse Gallery celebrates the Redlands this month in “The Bay and Beyond” an exhibition of paintings by Caroline Ness and Christine Earthrowl and woodturning creations by guest artists David Boxer and Stephen Schuhmacher.
Caroline says “As my husband is a keen sailor, I am able to see and photograph Moreton Bay, it’s islands, beacons and birds from our boat and use these scenes to bring the beauty of the bay and surrounds to my watercolours.”
After retiring David saw woodworking as not only a great relaxation activity you can do by yourself but it satisfied his passion to create something with his hands that shows off the natural beauty of the timber itself.
Stephen also took up woodworking especially wood-turning on retirement. He has had a lot of fun turning old logs and bits of trees into works of art and useful wooden objects.
Watercolour is Christine’s passion along with the beauty of nature. She loves clouds and skies and the colours and patterns they create on our waters with their reflect…

Step back in time — then make it your own.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be invited to slow down and focus on the joy of ceramic surface decoration, working directly onto a pre-made clay vessel inspired by nature, place, and story.
Facilitated by Carys Martin of Carys Martin Ceramics, and held at the Redlands Coast Museum, this workshop celebrates the creative spirit of the Redlands Coast - its gardens, bushland, shoreline, and sense of slow, intentional making.
Each attendee will be provided with a leather-hard ceramic vessel (approximately 15cm high), ready for surface decoration. Working with a pre-formed piece allows you to fully immerse yourself in texture, pattern, and storytelling through clay, without the pressure of building the form from scratch.

The ages range from 50 to 80 and beyond so you are in good company. It includes cardio, resistance work (all equipment supplied), stretching and relaxation in a friendly and safe environment. After each class, there is an opportunity to socialize and get to know one another, by having a cuppa in a nearby café plus there are fun monthly social events if you wish to join in. Prices are $16/class and a one-off Intro Deal of $60 for 5 classes with further discount class passes offered. You only pay when you attend. Our Regular Messy Play sessions are all about hands-on fun and sensory exploration using taste-safe, food-based materials.
We create a welcoming space for all ages, with a dedicated baby zone for 6–18 months, a toddler zone for busy little movers, and during school holidays we also welcome over 5s to join in the fun.
These sessions encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence through play — all in a relaxed, family-friendly environment. Sibling rates and under 20 months are discounted. Play passes are available - 10 play sessions for purchase at a low rate.

Join Ranger Stacey for a twilight tour, then relax and watch the sunset while you enjoy charcuterie and sparkling water.
This twilight adventure is your chance to see King Island in a whole new light! Enjoy spectacular scenery from every angle and hear about the island's fascinating past. Watch the lights come on over Manly way and maybe even see flying foxes flying over the bay.
After the walk, find a spot to enjoy your individual charcuterie box and sparkling water.
Fee: $27.78 per person

What to bring: Enclosed walking shoes, insect repellent, a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle.
Fitness level: A mostly flat, sandy track suitable for those with a moderate level of fitness.

Many Hands, Making and Reflection Zone is a free, drop‑in creative activity at Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland, inviting visitors to slow down, experiment and connect through art. Over 50s Fitness Classes

These classes are designed for all levels of fitness with lots of options offered. You go at your own pace and ability; there is no floor work and no pressure. The ages range from 50 to 80 and beyond so you are in good company. It includes cardio, resistance work (all equipment supplied), stretching and relaxation in a friendly and safe environment. After each class, there is an opportunity to socialize and get to know one another, by having a cuppa in a nearby café plus there are fun monthly social events if you wish to join in. Prices are $16/class and a one-off Intro Deal of $60 for 5 classes with further discount class passes offered. You only pay when you attend. Not just any Tablecloths but special ones from 1888,1916 and early to late 1900s.

In this hands-on heritage workshop, participants will learn the classic Toothbrush Rag Rug method—creating a beautiful and durable rug made entirely from recycled fabric strips. Traditionally, an old toothbrush was shaped into a tool for weaving the rug, and in this workshop, you’ll use a custom-made wooden shuttle to follow the same time-honoured technique.

Step back in time and experience the craft of blacksmithing in the Museum’s historic Blacksmith Shed. In the tradition of why the Museum Blacksmith Shed was set up over fifty years ago, the Redlands Coast Museum blacksmith team are offering this unique experience to learn about this heritage trade.
Forge a decorative hook with twisted heart while learning techniques including hot cutting, punching, tapering, scrolling and bending and twisting. Facilitated by Mark Kent will guide participants in forging techniques to complete a practical project.

Old ShoolHouse Gallery celebrates the Redlands this month in “The Bay and Beyond” an exhibition of paintings by Caroline Ness and Christine Earthrowl and woodturning creations by guest artists David Boxer and Stephen Schuhmacher.
Caroline says “As my husband is a keen sailor, I am able to see and photograph Moreton Bay, it’s islands, beacons and birds from our boat and use these scenes to bring the beauty of the bay and surrounds to my watercolours.”
After retiring David saw woodworking as not only a great relaxation activity you can do by yourself but it satisfied his passion to create something with his hands that shows off the natural beauty of the timber itself.
Stephen also took up woodworking especially wood-turning on retirement. He has had a lot of fun turning old logs and bits of trees into works of art and useful wooden objects.

These classes are designed for all levels of fitness with lots of options offered. You go at your own pace and ability; there is no floor work and no pressure. The ages range from 50 to 80 and beyond so you are in good company. It includes cardio, resistance work (all equipment supplied), stretching and relaxation in a friendly and safe environment. After each class, there is an opportunity to socialize and get to know one another, by having a cuppa in a nearby café plus there are fun monthly social events if you wish to join in. Prices are $16/class and a one-off Intro Deal of $60 for 5 classes with further discount class passes offered. You only pay when you attend. Old ShoolHouse Gallery celebrates the Redlands this month in “The Bay and Beyond” an exhibition of paintings by Caroline Ness and Christine Earthrowl and woodturning creations by guest artists David Boxer and Stephen Schuhmacher.
Caroline says “As my husband is a keen sailor, I am able to see and photograph Moreton Bay, it’s islands, beacons and birds from our boat and use these scenes to bring the beauty of the bay and surrounds to my watercolours.”
After retiring David saw woodworking as not only a great relaxation activity you can do by yourself but it satisfied his passion to create something with his hands that shows off the natural beauty of the timber itself.
Stephen also took up woodworking especially wood-turning on retirement. He has had a lot of fun turning old logs and bits of trees into works of art and useful wooden objects.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea at The Studio, You’re warmly invited to join us for a special morning at The Studio by Carys Martin Ceramics in Cleveland as we come together to support Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. Hosted by Ange (Angela Brandenburg Counselling, Health & Wellbeing) and Carys (Carys Martin Ceramics). This will be a relaxed, welcoming gathering - a chance to share a cuppa, connect with others, and be part of something meaningful. Cancer touches almost every life. Within our own studio community, there are people who have experienced diagnosis, are currently receiving treatment, are in recovery, or are supporting loved ones through their journey. Many of us have also lost people too soon. Connection and community support play such an important role in navigating times like these, and this morning is a simple way for us to come together. Participants will explore the history of soap-making, the role of natural oils and ingredients, and the science behind this centuries-old craft. Following a live demonstration, participants will create their own batch of cold process soap under guided instruction.

Visit Redlands Coast Museum and view “Napery over the years” an exhibition running from March 2026, showcasing some of our fascinating Tablecloths and Serviettes.
Not just any Tablecloths but special ones from 1888,1916 and early to late 1900s.
These are examples of beautiful embroidery, Battenberg work and crochet work with fascinating and moving stories regarding their creation.

This exhibition explores the history of the Museum’s volunteer blacksmith, the Blacksmith Shed, and the tools and techniques of traditional forging. Visitors can see handcrafted items including decorative bells, hearts, and poppies, with select pieces available for purchase in the Museum Shop.
