Exhibition - 'Mangroves of Moreton Bay' by Clare Loveband

Community events Clare's exhibition includes ten different species of mangroves. The first two mangrove paintings Clare did were the Orange and River mangroves found near her home at Victoria Point in Eprapah. The remaining species were found at Oyster Point, south of Toondah Harbour and the White flowered rare black, found in a very healthy mangrove community at Amity on Stradbroke Island. Community events We are a social group of like minded people who love to set out for a run or walk. We are all age groups from 2 to 70+. A normal Saturday morning will see 40 to 70 people. We meet EVERY Saturday morning (regardless of weather) at Les Moore Park on Wilson Esplanade, Victoria Point at 6am for a 40 - 50 minute run/walk. As our path is out and back, you can turn around at any point and manipulate the distance to suit yourself, many of us do this. We are just content to get together and run/walk. After we are all back, we head to the local bakery for a coffee and a chat. There are also many mid week runs organised by various members, especially those training for an upcoming event. Bayside Runners & Walkers

Community events We are a social group of like minded people who love to set out for a run or walk. We are all age groups from 2 to 70+. A normal Saturday morning will see 40 to 70 people. We meet EVERY Saturday morning (regardless of weather) at Les Moore Park on Wilson Esplanade, Victoria Point at 6am for a 40 - 50 minute run/walk. As our path is out and back, you can turn around at any point and manipulate the distance to suit yourself, many of us do this. We are just content to get together and run/walk. After we are all back, we head to the local bakery for a coffee and a chat. There are also many mid week runs organised by various members, especially those training for an upcoming event. Libraries The Mobile Library tours around the Redlands, making scheduled visits to various neighbourhoods. It is open to all our library members. The Mobile Library has books for all ages, DVDs, magazines, kits, and music CDs. Restricted access talking books for visually impaired people, community language and reading development resources are available on request. A public computer with internet access is available. Locally Sourced brings together some of Brisbane’s most virtuosic classical and jazz musicians for a diverse and colourful program of new compositions to engage, inspire and provoke. Presented by Ensemble Trivium, Locally Sourced will take you on a journey through traditional harmonic landscapes to less explored terrain, and from the highs of rhythmic intensity to states of lyrical meditative calm With works inspired by fiction, dance and explorations of states of change, expect a vibrant, visceral and virtuosic evening of exhilarating new chamber music from some of Brisbane’s finest. At the Movies Concert

Community events You are cordially invited to our "A Night at the Movies" concert presented by Redland City Bands featuring the Wind Ensemble and Beginner Concert Band. The concert starts at 7pm in the Edgar Harley Hall in Cleveland (entry via Smith Street next to the Cleveland High School). The concert is set to be a fun and enjoyable evening with many well known and popular tunes. Entry is by $2 gold coin, supper is included and there will be great raffle prizes to be won.
