Budget Town Hall

The Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates are sponsoring a virtual Town Hall on the Mayor's Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, which will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. via Zoom.  Register here. The Mayor is required by the City Charter to release her Proposed Budget for the next fiscal year by April 22 (extended from the 20th this year due to the weekend).  The City Council must act on that Budget by the end of May.  Before then, the City Council Budget, Finance, and Innovative Committee will hold hearings with each of the City Departments and labor partners.  The Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates are typically invited to make a presentation with our budget recommendations. The Board of Neighborhood Commissioners (The Commission) was established by the City Charter in 1999 as a policy-setting and oversight commission for the Neighborhood Councils and the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment. National Armed Forces Day

National Holidays Armed Forces Day is a day to pay tribute to the men and women who serve the United States Armed Forces. Armed Forces Day, which is celebrated on the third Saturday in May, is part of Armed Forces Week.
