Yuba Gold Trail Runs
Yuba Gold gets it's namesake from the beautiful South Yuba River as well as Nevada County's rich gold rush history. With 6,000+ ft of gain, from the deceptive rollers of South Yuba Trail to the dreaded Alpha Road climb, this is not your mama's 50k! And neither is the newly added 32k!
Just outside of Nevada City, CA, in the heart of gold country, the first half of the 50k course follows the beautiful South Fork Yuba River on the forested single-track of South Yuba Trail. It briefly passes thru the historic gold rush town of Washington, CA, originally founded as a mining camp in 1849. The remainder of the course is primarily on forest service roads, with a bit of single-track and off-trail. It tops out at 5,800 ft with nothing less than epic views of the breath-taking Bear Valley.
While the 32k excludes the South Yuba Trail portion, it acheives the same max elevation and views of Bear Valley and Signal Peak, and includes an incredible rival view of forested ridge-lines and the Yuba River canyon below.
Type of Event: Outdoors / Recreation. Sports. Other location: Bear Valley Group Campground. City/Area: Washington. Price: $69 - $109. Online ticket: https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?dtid=51958. Age range: Adult. Event details: Welcome to the 4th running of Yuba Gold since 2019!
