Meet us every second Friday at Longview Point in Willow Springs Park and help steward the land by watering and tending to native plants, pulling invasive species, picking up litter, mulching, and maintaining trails. 14 years ago a group of Southern California car enthusiasts got together with the idea of putting on a new event – one that would celebrate vintage Japanese automobiles and the culture that surrounds them. At the time this was a pretty bold idea, as classic Japanese cars had yet to reach mainstream acceptance.
Fast forward 14 years, JCCS® has become one of Southern California’s premier car gatherings. In recent years the event has grown right alongside the popularity of classic Japanese cars themselves.

Launched in 2014, READY Long Beach is a citywide outreach effort promoting emergency preparedness and readiness to the whole community. Sanctioned by the City of Long Beach and partnered with numerous city agencies, Ready Long Beach 2014 drew thousands of attendees from all social, economic, ethnic, age, and gender groups.
The READY Long Beach Expo is a prime marketplace for emergency preparedness merchandise and non-profit vendors alike. Held on an annual basis, the READY Long Beach Expo provides a family-friendly atmosphere in an outdoor setting; convenient for vendors of all sizes and accessible to a multitude of consumers.
In 2017, the Long Beach CERT program was awarded the FEMA Outstanding Community Emergency Response Team Initiatives Award for our efforts in increasing community preparedness and resiliency through READY Long Beach. We are excited to continue our efforts at this annual event!

Meet us every second Friday at Longview Point in Willow Springs Park and help steward the land by watering and tending to native plants, pulling invasive species, picking up litter, mulching, and maintaining trails. Please be mindful of park conditions and the weather; don't forget to prepare by applying sunscreen, wearing comfortable shoes, and bringing water.
