Recycle Your Mattress Event
Getting rid of your old mattress? Recycle it for FREE! By choosing to recycle your mattress, you will contribute to waste reduction efforts, ensuring that materials such as steel, foam, fiber, and wood from your old mattress are repurposed into new products, such as carpet padding, construction rebar, and mulch, rather than ending up in landfills.
Open to Long Beach residents, up to 10 mattresses can be recycled the first Saturday of the month. There is no appointment required. Candidates can drop off their mattress(es) between 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at 970 West Chester Place Long Beach, CA 90813.

Meet us every second Friday from 3-4 pm at Longview Point in Willow Springs Park and help steward the land by watering and tending to native plants, pulling invasive species, picking up litter, mulching, and maintaining trails. Please be mindful of park conditions and the weather; don't forget to prepare by applying sunscreen, wearing comfortable shoes, and bringing water.
