LBFD- P.R.E.P Workout

Get Ready for the Fire Service – Join LBFD P.R.E.P. The Long Beach Fire Department is proud to offer P.R.E.P. – the Prospective Recruit Exercise Program – a hands-on workout designed to challenge and inspire future Fire Recruit candidates. This program is designed to expose future Fire Recruits to the Long Beach Fire Department Physical Abilities Test and give them hands-on experience with real firefighting tools and equipment to help improve their performance on the physical test. ⸻ Who: Ages 18 and up What to Expect: Participants will get direct exposure to firefighting skills and tools, including: • Ladder carries and raises • Hose drags and pulls • Attic crawl simulations • Fire service terminology • Mannequin rescue and carry techniques • Hand tools and power tools ⸻ What to Wear: This is a physically demanding workout. Your clothing will get dirty.
