LAST CHANCE! Trash Falcons Trash Museum of Trash (TFTMoT) Closing Party

We bid adieu to the world-famous Trash Falcons Trash Museum of Trash (TFTMoT). This visiting museum was graciously loaned to us as part of our larger What We Sow gallery show in collaboration with the Trash Falcons. One person's trash isn't just treasure—it’s a masterpiece. What We Sow invites viewers into a reimagined landscape composed of the forgotten remnants of Adams Point, Lakeside Park, and Lake Merritt. Through a lens of radical optimism, the Trash Falcons transform the discarded debris of urban life into works that are at once whimsical, provocative, and profoundly beautiful. By elevating found objects to the realm of fine art, this exhibition challenges us to confront our own hand in the ecological narrative and asks: What do we leave behind, and what beauty can we grow from the wreckage? This is your last chance to see the TFTMoT at the Junior Center. TFTMoT presents a curated selection of "questionably historic" artifacts recovered during weekly missions. The Marsh Berkeley presents “Looking For Justice (In All the Wrong Places)”

Lawyer and retired judge Amy Oppenheimer brings her solo performance debut “Looking for Justice (In All the Wrong Places)” to The Marsh Berkeley after five decades in the making. In conjunction with the run, Oppenheimer partners with a rotating slate of nonprofit organizations for post-show audience talkbacks, every performance spotlighting a different cause to which funds will be donated. “Looking for Justice (In All the Wrong Places)” shares experiences now safely past the statute of limitations, taking audiences through the formative years of Oppenheimer’s trailblazing career protecting people from harassment and discrimination, as the pursuit of justice in the courtroom mirrors her own awakening as a lesbian feminist. Anchored by a defining early case, the show unfolds through a riveting, recursive narrative that moves between sharp, fast-paced punditry and disarming, heartfelt humor. Throughout, Oppenheimer reckons with what justice truly looks like in an unjust world. Category: Theater / Concerts. Contact Name: The Marsh Berkeley. Contact Phone: 4152823055. Hidden Harmony

Heron Arts is pleased to announce Hidden Harmony, a duo exhibition featuring Lady Henze and Joshua Rampage. The opening reception for Hidden Harmony is Thursday, March 12th, 2026 from 6-9pm. It is free and open to the public. The exhibition will be on view to the public until April 16th, by appointment only. Hidden Harmony features mixed media paintings that investigate perceived reality through abstraction, the battle between control and release, and obscuring personal revelations. Lady Henze’s approach is rooted in reality vs personal perspective; her new body of work is an interpretation of urbanscapes that relinquish control back to the environment. This concept is then mimicked in her paint smear technique where the lack of restraint obfuscates the original image. Henze states about her transition into his style of painting, “The hard-edge work is a low-resolution view of the same walking city and the new work is a hyper focus on the high-frequency details of that same city. OPEN Studio: Scrappy Birds and Recycled Collage Creatures!

Come visit us for our monthly open studio! Turn cardboard, paper scraps, and recycled treasures into bold, beautiful birds! In this imaginative mixed-media class, young artists will design and build their own one-of-a-kind birds using recycled materials. We’ll transform painted cardboard, magazine clippings, scrap paper, and found textures into colorful wings, layered feathers, patterned bodies, and expressive faces. Students will start by learning a little about real birds — their shapes, beaks, wings, and feather patterns — then use that inspiration to invent their own species or recreate a favorite local bird. We’ll paint cardboard backgrounds, cut and layer shapes, experiment with texture, and assemble everything into vibrant collage artworks. Perfect for kids who love animals, building things, cutting, painting, and getting a little messy. All materials provided. Category: Art / Photography / Crafts. Contact Phone: 510 839 5777. Clothing Swap & Print

Join us for a creative, community-centered clothing swap and block printing workshop. Bring gently used clothing to trade, then transform your recycled finds with your own custom block-printed design. The fashion industry accounts for an estimated 8–10% of global carbon emissions each year, and the average American discards more than 81 pounds of clothing annually. Nearly 84% of textiles end up in landfills. This event is a small but powerful way to rethink fashion, reduce waste, and give clothing new life through art and creativity. All clothing not swapped will be donated to Serenity House in Oakland, supporting our local community. Category: Art / Photography / Crafts. Community Events / Volunteerism.
