SB-LIX Super Bowl Turf Relocation Informational Community Meeting for Laurence Square

Community Events In a joint effort between the Department of Parks & Parkways and Capital Projects Administration, artificial turf will be installed at Laurence Square. Due to heavy use, maintaining natural grass at this site has been difficult over time. As part of a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the City of New Orleans and Turf Alliance—which has repurposed Superdome turf for use throughout the city. This installation is designed to preserve the surrounding tree canopy and root zones. Construction will begin in early October and is expected to be completed before Thanksgiving, weather permitting.
