Free Well Water Testing Event with OK Well Owner Network

County Combined Events NORMAN, Okla. – The Oklahoma Water Resources Center is set to conduct well water analysis for citizens in Cleveland County. Samples will be accepted at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in the Lobby from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11th. The results of the tests will be provided directly to citizens. This free-service-to-public screening program also includes an informational presentation on Oklahoma groundwater and on water quality indicators that are tested to ensure that your well water is safe to drink. Information is also provided on contaminants, how/why they are present in your drinking water, and how to treat the water to return it to a potable source. Well owners who would like to have their well water analyzed for free are encouraged to contact Cleveland County Cooperative Extension for information on how to collect a sample. New English Strong Dads Cohort

County Combined Events The Strong Dads Program is an evidence-based fatherhood program used by hundreds of organizations across the nation to improve the knowledge, behavior, and skills of dads of all races, religions, and demographics.  The program is built on the basis that fathers can be nurturers, and for men, nurturing is a learned skill. Any male in a parental role can participate (a stepdad, a male whose girlfriend has children, an expecting dad or male who is planning a family etc.).  The classes are once a week for 12 weeks.  Each class is two hours, with dinner served 30 min. before class start time.  The classes can support 12 dads max.  Registration is open to the public, but you must pre-register.  This class will be in English. We will be providing a meal and $10 gas cards at each class.  In addition, the fathers have an opportunity to earn $100 total in Walmart Gift cards upon completing the course. New English Strong Dads Cohort

County Combined Events The Strong Dads Program is an evidence-based fatherhood program used by hundreds of organizations across the nation to improve the knowledge, behavior, and skills of dads of all races, religions, and demographics.  The program is built on the basis that fathers can be nurturers, and for men, nurturing is a learned skill. Any male in a parental role can participate (a stepdad, a male whose girlfriend has children, an expecting dad or male who is planning a family etc.).  The classes are once a week for 12 weeks.  Each class is two hours, with dinner served 30 min. before class start time.  The classes can support 12 dads max.  Registration is open to the public, but you must pre-register.  This class will be in English. We will be providing a meal and $10 gas cards at each class.  In addition, the fathers have an opportunity to earn $100 total in Walmart Gift cards upon completing the course. Management Before and After Wildfire: Considerations for Forests, Water, Livestock, and Wildlife

County Combined Events Prescribed fire can be used to manage land for a variety of management objectives, including reducing wildfire risk. During the March 14th Stillwater wildfire, portions of OSU property around Lake Carl Blackwell were burned during extreme fire weather conditions. Forests that were previously prescribed burned saw relatively minor wildfire effects, whereas forests without prior management saw greater tree mortality. During this field day, we will discuss the use of prescribed fire to reduce negative wildfire effects, as well as future management strategies for forests, water, livestock, and wildlife following a wildfire. Papas Fuertes - Strong Dad's Cohort 8

County Combined Events The Strong Dads/Papás Fuertes program is an evidence-based fatherhood program used by hundreds of organizations across the nation to improve the knowledge, behavior, and skills of dads of all races, religions, and demographics.  The program is built on the basis that fathers can be nurturers, and for men, nurturing is a learned skill. Papas Fuertes - Strong Dad's Cohort 8

County Combined Events The Strong Dads/Papás Fuertes program is an evidence-based fatherhood program used by hundreds of organizations across the nation to improve the knowledge, behavior, and skills of dads of all races, religions, and demographics.  The program is built on the basis that fathers can be nurturers, and for men, nurturing is a learned skill. Any male in a parental role can participate (a stepdad, a male whose girlfriend has children, an expecting dad or male who is planning a family etc.).  The classes are once a week for 12 weeks.  Each class is two hours, with dinner served 30 min. before class start time.  The classes can support 12 to 14 dads max.  Registration is open to the public, but you must pre-register.  These classes are in Spanish.  We will be providing a meal and $10 gas cards at each class.  In addition, the fathers have an opportunity to earn $100 total in Walmart Gift cards upon completing the course. New English Strong Dads Cohort

County Combined Events The Strong Dads Program is an evidence-based fatherhood program used by hundreds of organizations across the nation to improve the knowledge, behavior, and skills of dads of all races, religions, and demographics.  The program is built on the basis that fathers can be nurturers, and for men, nurturing is a learned skill. Any male in a parental role can participate (a stepdad, a male whose girlfriend has children, an expecting dad or male who is planning a family etc.).  The classes are once a week for 12 weeks.  Each class is two hours, with dinner served 30 min. before class start time.  The classes can support 12 dads max.  Registration is open to the public, but you must pre-register.  This class will be in English. Remote Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training Course

Food and Agricultural Product Center Fruit and vegetable growers and others interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and co-management of natural resources and food safety. The PSA Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement outlined in § 112.22(c) that requires ‘At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.’ The training is offered in collaboration with the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food & Forestry. New English Strong Dads Cohort

County Combined Events The Strong Dads Program is an evidence-based fatherhood program used by hundreds of organizations across the nation to improve the knowledge, behavior, and skills of dads of all races, religions, and demographics.  The program is built on the basis that fathers can be nurturers, and for men, nurturing is a learned skill. Any male in a parental role can participate (a stepdad, a male whose girlfriend has children, an expecting dad or male who is planning a family etc.).  The classes are once a week for 12 weeks.  Each class is two hours, with dinner served 30 min. before class start time.  The classes can support 12 dads max.  Registration is open to the public, but you must pre-register.  This class will be in English. Dairy Education Day/Homemade Ice Cream Contest

New English Strong Dads Cohort

County Combined Events The Strong Dads Program is an evidence-based fatherhood program used by hundreds of organizations across the nation to improve the knowledge, behavior, and skills of dads of all races, religions, and demographics.  The program is built on the basis that fathers can be nurturers, and for men, nurturing is a learned skill. Any male in a parental role can participate (a stepdad, a male whose girlfriend has children, an expecting dad or male who is planning a family etc.).  The classes are once a week for 12 weeks.  Each class is two hours, with dinner served 30 min. before class start time.  The classes can support 12 dads max.  Registration is open to the public, but you must pre-register.  This class will be in English. We will be providing a meal and $10 gas cards at each class.  In addition, the fathers have an opportunity to earn $100 total in Walmart Gift cards upon completing the course. Papas Fuertes - Strong Dad's Cohort 8

County Combined Events The Strong Dads/Papás Fuertes program is an evidence-based fatherhood program used by hundreds of organizations across the nation to improve the knowledge, behavior, and skills of dads of all races, religions, and demographics.  The program is built on the basis that fathers can be nurturers, and for men, nurturing is a learned skill. Any male in a parental role can participate (a stepdad, a male whose girlfriend has children, an expecting dad or male who is planning a family etc.).  The classes are once a week for 12 weeks.  Each class is two hours, with dinner served 30 min. before class start time.  The classes can support 12 to 14 dads max.  Registration is open to the public, but you must pre-register.  These classes are in Spanish.  We will be providing a meal and $10 gas cards at each class.  In addition, the fathers have an opportunity to earn $100 total in Walmart Gift cards upon completing the course.
