CLGT There will be two- and one-half days of instruction and an exam on the last day. The course will begin at 1:00 p.m. on the first, day. The class will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the first day and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the second and third day, pending learning comprehension. CANCELLED - Remote Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training Course

Food and Agricultural Product Center Fruit and vegetable growers and others interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and co-management of natural resources and food safety. The PSA Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement outlined in § 112.22(c) that requires ‘At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.’ The training is offered in collaboration with the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food & Forestry. GEO-REx Summer Camp

Boone Pickens School of Geology The Boone Pickens School of Geology is offering the Geoscience Research Experience (GEO-REx), a resident camp on the OSU campus for high school students interested in geoscience and working in laboratory and field settings. Students will work closely with faculty performing research projects ranging from wet-lab geochemistry to near-surface geophysics, which will then be presented to an audience, including family, on the last day. The camp will take place from July 8-11 and campers will be provided food and lodging on campus and transportation for field trips. All field trips will be within 1 hour of Stillwater, OK and be overseen by GEO-REx personnel with First Aid and drivers training. Activities will encompass a broad range of geoscience topics, including geology, geophysics, and environmental geoscience, as well as teamwork and research skills. Space is limited so register now. Beginning Fly Fishing

Learn about the skills and equipment needed to become a fly fisherman — basics of the fly rod and reel, casting, pond and stream ecology, matching the hatch (identifying what fly to use when), knot tying, fish identification, ethics, rules and regulations and safety. You will have the opportunity to learn and implement your new skills on local ponds, lakes and rivers, all while traveling the scenic drives through beautiful northern New Mexico. Distance to the fishing areas will be dependent on water levels and water conditions. Expect to drive or carpool with another class participant to the fishing areas.   The course fee includes a $100 credit towards the purchase or rental of fly fishing equipment or gear. Fly fishing can be a fun and relaxing experience, but please keep in mind that participants will be required to do some light hiking and wading in streams, some of which will be rough, rocky terrain. Intermediate and Advanced Fly Fishing

 This class is designed for the more advanced fly fisher who wants to improve their skills on the water. Intermediate and Advanced fly fishermen/women will have a chance to review their skills in this class. Four full days of fishing, including one day on private water will provide ample time for anglers to put their skills to the test in the local ponds, lakes or rivers with our highly skilled local guides. Be prepared to provide a bio about your fly fishing experience. This will assist the instructors/guides to know what your abilities are, and how to best tailor this learning experience for each of you. Beginning Fly Fishing

Learn about the skills and equipment needed to become a fly fisherman — basics of the fly rod and reel, casting, pond and stream ecology, matching the hatch (identifying what fly to use when), knot tying, fish identification, ethics, rules and regulations and safety. You will have the opportunity to learn and implement your new skills on local ponds, lakes and rivers, all while traveling the scenic drives through beautiful northern New Mexico. Distance to the fishing areas will be dependent on water levels and water conditions. Expect to drive or carpool with another class participant to the fishing areas.   The course fee includes a $100 credit towards the purchase or rental of fly fishing equipment or gear. Fly fishing can be a fun and relaxing experience, but please keep in mind that participants will be required to do some light hiking and wading in streams, some of which will be rough, rocky terrain.  This class is designed for the more advanced fly fisher who wants to improve their skills on the water. Intermediate and Advanced fly fishermen/women will have a chance to review their skills in this class. Four full days of fishing, including one day on private water will provide ample time for anglers to put their skills to the test in the local ponds, lakes or rivers with our highly skilled local guides. Be prepared to provide a bio about your fly fishing experience. This will assist the instructors/guides to know what your abilities are, and how to best tailor this learning experience for each of you. Beginning Fly Fishing

Learn about the skills and equipment needed to become a fly fisherman — basics of the fly rod and reel, casting, pond and stream ecology, matching the hatch (identifying what fly to use when), knot tying, fish identification, ethics, rules and regulations and safety. You will have the opportunity to learn and implement your new skills on local ponds, lakes and rivers, all while traveling the scenic drives through beautiful northern New Mexico. Distance to the fishing areas will be dependent on water levels and water conditions. For those with a passion for art, northern New Mexico is an idyllic retreat, a place to experience (and even purchase) a slice of Americana that is steeped in the mystique of the area’s many Indigenous nations. Settler dynamics of occupation, tourism, and commerce are often in tension with artistry and creativity in this part of America. In this course, we will explore these dynamics as we read together the New Mexico works of Indigenous writers and filmmakers, especially from Oklahoma, considering the unique arts cultures that inform them. We will read and interpret poems, essays, and films from writers including Lynn Riggs, N. Scott Momaday, Joy Harjo, Leslie Marmon Silko, Simon Ortiz, and Sterlin Harjo. Native American Expressive Arts in Taos

For those with a passion for art, northern New Mexico is an idyllic retreat, a place to experience (and even purchase) a slice of Americana that is steeped in the mystique of the area’s many Indigenous nations. Settler dynamics of occupation, tourism, and commerce are often in tension with artistry and creativity in this part of America. In this course, we will explore these dynamics as we read together the New Mexico works of Indigenous writers and filmmakers, especially from Oklahoma, considering the unique arts cultures that inform them. We will read and interpret poems, essays, and films from writers including Lynn Riggs, N. Scott Momaday, Joy Harjo, Leslie Marmon Silko, Simon Ortiz, and Sterlin Harjo. Our time together will include visits to sites including the D.H. Lawrence House (and adjacent Kiowa Trail); the Mabel Dodge Luhan House; and the Taos Pueblo, including a visit to its Dawn Butterfly Café which honors the memory of a prolific Taos Pueblo poet. CANCELLED - FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food - Part 2

Food and Agricultural Product Center The new FSMA regulation requires every processing facility to have a trained resource person or Preventive Controls Qualified Individual who has completed a specialized training course such as the one developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) that is recognized by the FDA. This person will oversee the implementation of the facility’s food safety plan and other key tasks. This blended course has two parts. Those who complete the Part 1: Online are eligible to attend a one-day Part 2: Instructor-led course taught by an FSPCA Lead instructor. August 2025 ITA Exam

Graduate College The International Teaching Assistant Exam is required for international students with teaching appointments. Please review the policy here to determine if you are required to take the test. Preparation materials are also include at the link above. The ITA test is a five minute (timed) teaching presentation given to an audience of test raters and other students who are taking the test.  After the presentation is finished, there is a 3-5 minute period for questions from the audience. Guidance on how to prepare for the exam is available here. The raters consist of faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students. Lake Carl Blackwell The first name will drawn at 9am sharp, show up early to fill out paperwork and present hunting license. Rules for Duck Blinds, 1)  Blind license holders have the right to the assigned blind from September 1, 2025, through March 1, 2026. Two guests are allowed in the presence of the license holder. No more than 3 hunters may be present in an assigned blind at any time. 2)  All vehicles must always display either a daily or annual permit on OSU property or are subject to being ticketed. Research Day at the Capitol - Applications due

Research Research Day at the Capitol was established 31 years ago to showcase the outstanding undergraduate research being conducted at Oklahoma’s colleges and universities in the areas of science (including social science), technology, engineering, and mathematics. The prestigious event is sponsored by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, Oklahoma Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (OK EPSCoR), and the National Science Foundation. Oklahoma State University is allowed to send four undergraduates to this event. The 2026 Research Day at the Capitol event includes two rounds of judging and encompasses multiple activities.  Note: Not all students will be selected to present their poster at the Capitol for the second round of judging.
