Founded in 2017 by the St. Louis Reconciliation Network, the Race for Reconciliation 5K is more than just a race—it's a movement to promote racial unity in St. Louis. Held on Delmar Blvd, the race seeks to bring healing to the historic Delmar Divide, a symbol of the racial and economic disparities in our city.
Starting in 2024, the race proudly serves as the opening event for the annual Delmar Loop Juneteenth Celebration, amplifying its impact as a powerful force for change. As a fundraiser, the event supports several non-profit organizations dedicated to advancing racial unity and equity in our region.
Our vision is for the Race for Reconciliation 5K to become a key event that demonstrates to our city, and beyond, that St. Louis no longer needs to be defined by its past. We are committed to building a future where unity and equity are the foundation of our community.

Sam-a-Palooza Family 5K
Community Events
In August of 2022, we lost Sam Scherer to an aggressive form of cancer called cholangiocarcinoma. Sam's endless positive energy and appreciation for life shined bright throughout his time with us. He loved his family, friends and community. His boisterous laugh and passion for fun were evident with every step of his so-called "thunderous calves". He loved bringing people together and we are thrilled to honor him with this Family 5K.
This no pressure, family friendly event is for all ages. Strollers, wagons and carriers are welcome and encouraged. Whether you intend to make it one lap (.6 mi) or the full 5 (3.1 mi aka 5K) around Shrewsbury's Wehner park, the end goal is to come together for a day of fun and fitness. Any and all participation is encouraged. Sprint to the finish line or hang out on a nearby playground to cheer on your loved ones.
All proceeds will be going to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (CCF). Founded in 2006, the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (CCF) is a global 501(c) (3) nonprofit organiz…

Get Your Butt Kicked at Route 66
Community Events
This timed race with 3-hour (new this year!) and 6-hour options takes place in Route 66 State Park located just east of Eureka, MO. The course is a measured 2.425 mile loop through the wooded northwest corner of Route 66 State Park. The course is a wide path consisting of thin pavement, chip n seal and some fine gravel. Although the loop is fairly flat and fast, the temperature in July must be considered an overriding factor by each runner. This is a great course for both those that are new to ultra running as well as experienced runners looking for a fast course.
Start/finish area is at the Forest Shelter which has adequate parking around it. The Forest Shelter is the main aid station and will have Ultra-Food.
6-hour race starts at 6 pm and ends at midnight. 3-hour race starts at 7:30 pm and ends at 10:30 pm. Darkness comes around 8:30 pm so runners will need some kind of running light for the second half of the race.
This race is brought to you by the Saint Louis Ultrarunners Group.
