Annual TCDLA Prairie Dog
2026 marks the 45th Annual Prairie Dog Seminar. First held in 1981, it has evolved into one of the premier CLE courses in Texas and consistently draws top-speakers from across the State as well as prominent local attorneys. Proceeds are donated to the Philip Wischkaemper scholarship. A very important component of Prairie Dog is Prairie Pup, a nuts and bolts seminar for young attorneys, taught by local attorneys providing both mentorship and education on "what we do".

U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals
The U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals will be conducting oral argument in the Hunt Courtroom. Reception to follow.
The United States Army Court of Criminal Appeals (ACCA) is an appellate court within the United States military that reviews specific court-martial convictions of Army service members.
In the United States, courts-martial are conducted under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. §§ 801–946, and the Manual for Courts-Martial. If the trial results in a conviction, the case is reviewed by the convening authority – the person who referred the case for trial by court-martial. The convening authority has discretion to mitigate the findings and sentence. The ACCA is the intermediate court of review for these sentences.

Board of Barristers: Advanced Moot Court Final Round
The Board of Barristers will host the Advanced Moot Court Final Round Competition where qualifying teams will compete in a Moot Court round and display their appellate advocacy skills. The Teams will compete in front of a panel of professional judges.
