Justice Young was appointed to the Supreme Court of Texas in November 2021 by Governor Greg Abbott. Justice Young subsequently was elected in November 2022 to a term that expires December 31, 2028.

Micheal Dobbs is Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of Texas Pacific Land Corporation. Arnold Loewy was the first professor to hold the Texas Tech School of Law's new George R. Killam Jr. Chair of Criminal Law; Loewy initiated a series of annual symposiums in the area of criminal law or criminal procedure. In addition to his work on the annual symposiums, Loewy taught a Supreme Court seminar and courses in criminal law, criminal procedure, and the First Amendment. TTU School of Law established a lecture series in honor of Professor Loewy's tremendous contributions to the field of criminal law and to Texas Tech University School of Law following his passing in 2021.
