Establishing an empowering culture
Christian Community Events
Establishing an empowering culture is a powerful strategy for developing a thriving discipleship pipeline. However, this approach can also introduce unexpected challenges. When we empower our teams, we strengthen our collective ability to reach communities for Jesus more effectively. Yet, our insecurities can sometimes lead us to believe our way is the only safe or effective path—especially when pursuing a mission greater than ourselves. As leaders, we have the responsibility to either limit or uplift those around us. This webinar aims to equip pastors with a deeper understanding of what it truly takes to foster a culture of empowerment that transforms both their teams and their ministries.
Presenter Ben Padilla is the Lead Pastor at New Life Church in Castlegar, B.C. Thursday, June 5, 10:00 AM (MT).

National Indigenous Peoples Day
Christian Community Events
This is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. The Canadian Constitution recognizes these three groups as Aboriginal peoples, also known as Indigenous peoples.
Although these groups share many similarities, they each have their own distinct heritage, language, cultural practices and spiritual beliefs.
In cooperation with Indigenous organizations, the Government of Canada chose June 21, the summer solstice, for National Aboriginal Day, now known as National Indigenous Peoples Day. For generations, many Indigenous peoples and communities have celebrated their culture and heritage on or near this day due to the significance of the summer solstice as the longest day of the year.
